Referring to your Despatch No. 321 of the 3rd. November, 1911, I have the honour to report that Mr. A. F. Church- -ill, First Assistant Director of Public Works, has hitherto elect- -ed to retain his original salary on the scale £720 £10 witu triennial increments of £45 in place of the salary on the scale £690 £780 with triennial increments of £30 and Dut, Pay £75, which was offered to him under the Duty Pay Scheme.

Er. Churchill has now asked for permission to come under the scheme on the latter scale of salary and I have to recommend that his request should be granted with effect from the 1st, January, 1914.
